So for the past couple of months, I have been doing a lot of introspective thinking and realized that I want to be more whole and balanced. I soon realized that living a holistic lifestyle would help me achieve what I am looking for.
I already live about a 50% holistic lifestyle and I would like to achieve at least 90%. I will be talking about what is already holistic in my life and the steps I want to take to live more holistically.
So for those of you who have no idea what a "holistic lifestyle" is you are in the right place because I'm going to explain it to you and how to life holistically without all the gimmicks and whatnot.
What Does "Holistic" Mean?
Holistic (adj)-philosophy characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.
the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease
Well what does that mean?
In simplest terms, holistic living is taking care of your whole self (mind, body, soul, and emotions). Each of these systems are connected to each other and when you realize how much they influence one another you will see a big change.

What Holistic Living Means to Me
Living a holistic lifestyle is not "one size fits all", it can mean something different to everybody. On this journey, I will look at a few different aspects when it comes to living holistically:
Being mindful of what I put on and in my body
Practicing self-care
Education and growth
Being more intentional
Being more mindful and self-aware
Things I Already Do to Live Holistically
One of the main things I do to live a holistic lifestyle, which I have been doing for years now, is using all-natural and organic skin, body, hair, and oral care. I use my own products, which are all-natural and organic and contain no chemicals, you can buy them here at www.complexionsbyvictoria.com. I will be making another post on my morning and night routine detailing my hygiene routine. I also switched out my oral care products for fluoride-free natural toothpaste and mouthwash.
As I continue on this journey toward living a holistically luxurious lifestyle, I am excited to explore new practices, deepen my self-awareness, and create a life that feels balanced, intentional, and radiant from the inside out. This isn't about being perfect—it's about making conscious choices that nourish my mind, body, and soul. I hope that by sharing my experiences, insights, and the steps I'm taking, I can inspire you to start your own holistic journey in a way that feels authentic and attainable. Here’s to a more mindful, vibrant, and beautifully whole life—one intentional step at a time. 🌿✨
Hi Victoria, I loved reading this! Your explanation of holistic living was spot on - simple, clear, and real. I’m all about making intentional choices too, especially when it comes to what I use on my skin and hair. I’ve spent years in the beauty industry and totally relate to wanting to live more mindfully, inside and out. I haven’t made it to 90% holistic yet either, but your words reminded me that it’s not about perfection - it’s about progress. Thanks for sharing your journey. I’ll definitely be checking out your products! ~ Stacey Simmons, Cosmetologist/Barber/Owner of Clyde's Barbershop
I love your commitment to the holistic lifestyle. I'm trying to work on one section at a time myself, if I can achieve my goals in one area, I'll feel motivated to do the rest. Do you feel like there is controversy surrounding holistic practices within esthetics?
